The Feast of Purim: Youth Service at the “King of Glory Jerusalem” Congregation

On March 14, the “King of Glory Jerusalem” congregation in Jerusalem held a special youth service that coincided with the celebration of Purim. This day was not only a time of joy and festivity but also a profound reminder of God’s miraculous deliverance of the Jewish people from Amalek. It was filled with spiritual encouragement, worship, and deep reflection on the Word of God.

The service began with a warm festive welcome and a reminder of the significance of Purim. Pastor Oren Lev Ari emphasized the importance of God’s victory for His people and called on everyone to praise the Lord for His faithfulness. He then turned to the weekly Torah portion, Ki Tisa (Exodus 30:11–16), which speaks of the command to give half a shekel as a ransom for one’s soul. A parallel was drawn between this command and the atoning sacrifice of Yeshua the Messiah, who paid the price for all—both rich and poor alike. The key message was clear: “Yeshua paid the price for each of us with His blood, and sin has been redeemed!”

Following the reflection on Scripture, the youth led the congregation in a time of worship and praise. Messianic songs filled the room, exalting Yeshua as the King of Israel and the Messiah of all nations. The moments of worship were deeply moving, marked by a tangible sense of God’s presence. “God’s dwelling is in heaven and on earth! Salvation is found in Him alone!”—these powerful words resonated throughout the gathering, uniting hearts in one voice of praise.

Later, Esther shared a message on sacrifice and tithing, reminding everyone that all we possess ultimately belongs to God and that our giving is an expression of our love for the Father. Key passages from Deuteronomy 8:18, Leviticus 27:30, and Malachi 3:10 were read, where God promises to “open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon those who are faithful to Him.” This message inspired the youth to reflect on financial faithfulness and God’s provision.

Following this, Emmanuel shared a testimony about how the youth ministry in the congregation was born. He recounted a revelation that came to him through dreams and visions, describing how God stirred his heart to initiate a movement among teenagers and young adults. He also spoke of how different people, at different times, received the same revelation about a youth awakening in Israel. This strengthened his confidence in God’s calling and encouraged many to pray for the salvation of the next generation.

Emmanuel then spoke about praying in tongues (Acts 2 and Acts 10), emphasizing that the Holy Spirit is still at work today just as He was in the early Church, when the disciples spoke in other tongues and glorified God. He shared a personal testimony of how praying in the Spirit helped him through some of the most difficult moments in his life.

Additionally, Emmanuel preached on being born again (John 3), repeatedly stressing that today’s youth desperately need God’s love and salvation. He urged each person to have a personal encounter with Yeshua.

The service concluded with a time of prayer—for the young people, for the salvation of Israel, and for God’s movement among the new generation. The youth left the gathering deeply inspired, reminded that they are called to be a light in this world and to share the truth of Yeshua the Messiah.

This evening was not just a celebration but a powerful spiritual experience for everyone present. Indeed, God is alive—He continues to speak, lead, and inspire His children to move forward and carry the light of the Gospel to the people of Israel!

Purim Sameach, friends! May the Name of the Lord be glorified!
