Let Him Prepare You

Today marks the beginning of the Hebrew month of Nisan—a uniquely powerful and spiritually significant time. Nisan is known as a month of miracles and divine signs. It commemorates the miraculous Exodus of Israel from Egypt and the profound sacrifice of Yeshua on the tree at Zion. This month isn’t just another date on the calendar; it represents a spiritual cycle, continually returning us to our foundational relationship with God. Indeed, “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12), for through observing God’s seven appointed feasts, we reflect the Messiah and His divine qualities represented in the Menorah.

The prophet Zechariah emphatically declares: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6). Allow the Lord of Hosts to profoundly transform your life. Let Him prepare you for the extraordinary events awaiting us during this sacred time. As Nisan unfolds, we recall the might and grace of God, who delivered His people “with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm” (Exodus 6:1), liberating us from spiritual bondage.

Passover (Pesach) is a sacred moment of encountering God, a time for reflecting upon the victory of our Lord Yeshua over darkness and sin. Yeshua himself did not observe a traditional “Easter”—He faithfully celebrated Pesach, a divine institution set forth by God. Our observance is not merely ritualistic; it’s a profound reminder of God’s love and grace extended to humanity, revealing both what has already been accomplished and what lies ahead. Everything centers around the Lamb.

“Take for yourselves a lamb” (Exodus 12:3)—this was God’s instruction. The lamb, without blemish, was chosen in advance to affirm its perfection. The Israelites spent days observing the lamb, reflecting upon its innocence and the reality that its sacrifice substituted for their own lives. This symbolizes divine grace: God bears the penalty for our sins. We cannot free ourselves from sin through human effort alone; rather, we must attentively listen and obediently respond to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

The main struggle for believers isn’t simply sin itself, but the reluctance to heed the Holy Spirit’s voice. As Hebrews 12:2 advises, we must fix our eyes upon “Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith.” Our preparation for God’s presence and blessings doesn’t rely on our efforts but rather on our willingness to hear and faithfully follow His voice revealed in Scripture and by His Spirit.

Each family in ancient Israel was instructed to select a lamb and meditate upon it, understanding its significance as their substitutionary sacrifice. True repentance isn’t merely uttering words of remorse; it’s a transformative change of heart and mind, a sincere turning back toward God. Genuine repentance involves allowing God to prepare us for His presence and His blessings.

Preparation for Passover symbolizes our spiritual preparation for receiving God’s profound blessings. God desires internal spiritual cleansing from us. He commands: “take the lamb’s blood and apply it to your doorposts” (Exodus 12:7). For believers, this means immersing ourselves in God’s Word, nurturing our spiritual lives, praying, and trusting Him wholeheartedly.

Too often, individuals become trapped in negativity, perpetually lamenting that everything is going poorly. Instead, our energies must be redirected toward embracing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to us—His promises and the miracles He has performed and continues to perform. Indeed, “the Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 136:1).

We must remember that we are never alone; God is always with us, and “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). Allow God to prepare you for everything He has planned, whether it involves eternal communion with Him, new chapters in your ministry, family life, or personal growth.

Allow God to prepare you because He always leads us toward immense blessings. The Holy Spirit sustains us in our weaknesses, interceding for us, strengthening our patience and faith. Let each of us choose, especially in this sacred season, to let God thoroughly prepare us for the great blessings and spiritual awakening He intends for His people.
